Griffin says we should buy their TuneBuds headphones so we can have headphones that match our iPod Nanos. We'd rather scandalize the fashion police by pairing green headphones with a blue Nano. As far as we know, one of the greatest rap albums of all time, Doug E. Fresh's "Oh My God!" (1986, Reality Records) has not been reissued on CD. We still have the cassette at home, even though we no longer have a cassette player. But now, thanks to the Ion Tape2PC, a gadget that converts audio cassette recordings into MP3s and imports them directly into iTunes, we can listen to those songs again. The Tape2PC works with Macs and PCs, comes with easy-to-use software, and has a plug-and-play audio interface. We've seen lots of earbud headphones encrusted with Swarovski crystals, but we tend to wonder about their sound quality when we've never heard of the manufacturer. But we're willing to bet Altec Lansing's crystal headphones sound pretty good, since the company is known for its high-quality audio products. Designed for women (duh), the headphones have powerful 9mm neodymium drivers, a gold-plated plug for superior sound transfer, and a SnugFit design for comfort and noise reduction. Problem: You've got some great movies on your PC that you want to watch on your big-screen TV. But you're not especially patient or tech-savvy. Solution: The SanDisk Sansa TakeTV, a USB drive that solves this problem in a flash (get it?). It's about the size of the original iPod Nano and is almost as easy to use. Just plug it into your computer, drag and drop the movie files, walk over to your TV, and plug it into the docking station. (The docking station plugs into the TV and comes with adapters so you don't have to run out to Radio Shack.) The only major drawback is that copyright restrictions prevent the TakeTV from working with stuff you've legally downloaded from places like iTunes and Netflix. SanDisk does have its own Fanfare content site, but the choices are limited.
