bjorn vs. ergo-- go with the ergo for the active parent
I'm an avid consumer researcher and was torn between the baby bjorn (sport) and the baby ergo carrier. Both were good for active moms on the go. After lots or research and talking to plenty of moms who had used both and stopping moms on the street with... read entire review
- Pros: Baby is secure and comfy, mom and dad's back is pain free.
- Cons: Can take a few tries to figure out right positioning of baby.
- The Bottom Line: Comfortable pads and good weight distribution. Baby can grow with ergo so you don't need to buy another carrier when baby grows bigger. Great for active parents.

I have four children, and I am trying an Ergo Baby Carrier for the first time. With the first three babies, I used a sling until they were about 20 pounds, then used a Tough Traveler backpack. The Ergo caught my eye, because it was lightweight,... read entire review
- Pros: Comfortable as a front carrier, could nurse while using.
- Cons: Terrible for a backpack. Most of child's weight on your shoulders, creating neck strain.
- The Bottom Line: I recommend this as a front carrier only. It is not a good design for a backpack, and far too pricey.

The best and most versatile carrier out there.
I bought this carrier after enduring years of back pain with the Original Baby Bjorn and a sling. The Bjorn was OK at first, but as soon as baby turned 4 months, ouch! It became extremely painful after just 30 minutes of carrying. I had to see a... read entire review
- Pros: - Versatile (front, back, side carry)
- Excellent support and weight distribution - PAINLESS!
- Cons: Does require some flexibility and strength to put on quickly when on your own.
- The Bottom Line: Ergo is the best carrier I have used. It's comfortable, easy to take with you anywhere, easy to wash, and easy to put on (with practice).

When I had my fist daughter I had a bjorn that I never used. I just was not comfortable with the idea of "wearing" my baby. My second baby came along a year ago, and I wondered how I would hold my new baby while taking care of my then three year old... read entire review

I have used three generations of the Ergo and have found it to be the best carrier overall for babies from 15 lbs to who knows (still using it with my 40 lb 2 year old). I have used over 20 carriers, including the Bjorn, and can say with confidence that... read entire review

I must say that I was very happy with the Baby Bjorn, however, recently my infant son was a little too snug in it (he is 16 pounds) and with his increased weight, my back was starting to hurt. I researched (mostly by trial and error, I have purchased... read entire review

Should have bought this a long time ago!
I recently bought an Ergo baby carrier, and it has become my all-time favorite baby carrier. That's saying a lot, since I recently had my 6th baby, and have 15 years of baby-carrying experiences to compare to. I have used ring slings, a wrap carrier,... read entire review

I kept hearing great things about this carrier. Heard about the website and checked it out. I read lots of reviews and decided that since I don't really like the stress put on my back by the bjorn, and that maybe the ergo would work for me. I took at a... read entire review

I love my Ergo Carrier. Of course the price quite hefty, but for me it was a wise investment. I have 3 small children and when I run errands, I usually have all of them with me. This can be a bit tricky, but with my Ergo's help, it's quite do-able... read entire review

- Cons: Expensive, isn't the most attractive carrier on the market.
- The Bottom Line: Great product that I highly recommend!
