Designed for running 800-5000 meters at a time, these Nike+ iPod-enabled training shoes are the lightest "middle distance" spike shoes Nike has ever made. They have what Nike calls Flywire technology: Thin nylon fibers that provide strength, durability, and hold your feet in place without slipping. They're the Argentinian style espadrilles that got so much attention because for every pair sold, the company donates a pair of new shoes to a child in need. Well Toms now makes these crazy wrap boots that seem to be inspired by Ace bandages. They're basically the same as the regular espadrilles, with a long piece of elastic wrap that extends from the ankle. You use that long piece to wrap your legs up however you want - it's held in place with multiple (included) Velcro fasteners. At least this way you don't have to worry if your calves are too big or too small for the boots.

Three reasons. First, Sorels combine leather uppers with rubber bottoms and removable felt liners, so you stay both warm and dry. Second, Sorels are comfortable enough for just about any outdoor winter activity. And third, they're surprisingly affordable as far as rugged, waterproof winter boots go. Is Courtney Love having trouble paying her legal bills again? But it turns out "grunge" just means "plaid" in the case of these Chuck Taylors. Some styles have plaid exteriors, while others use solid colors with plaid linings. We think they'll look great with jeans, but wearing them with plaid flannel shirts might be a bit overkill. They're kind of like Crocs, only more fun, because they come in 4 different animal designs: Ducks (shown here), alligators, frogs, and ladybugs. And on the bottoms the shoes are patterns intended to look like the footprints of those ducks, alligators, frogs, and ladybugs. We imagine these are great fun on the beach. Polliwalks have built-in arch supports and deep heel cups, are made of a synthetic, machine-washable material, and are easy for kids to put on and take off.

He says they are "super comfortable," even though he's only "worn them around the house" so far. Our first thought was "aren't you ruining your floors?" The shoes are guaranteed waterproof and have DrySport technology for "moisture management" (read: foot sweat). (Studies suggest that barefoot runners have stronger feet than shoe-clad runners.) The shoes have deep cuts in the outsole so your feet flex and move the way they would if you were barefoot. And they're super lightweight with a breathable spacer mesh design. Choose from several different colors.
