The Anniversary Present We Didn't Think We Wanted

Released From Our Prison of Pickiness By Thoughtful Friends My husband and I did not own a coffee maker. Because he has a truly educated palate for coffee and I am a snob, we could not find a machine that suited us. The only options we... read entire review

  • Pros: Coffee doesn't stew on a heating element, very neat and clean
  • Cons: Coffee doesn't stay hot once it gets low
  • The Bottom Line: This elegant looking machine is simple to use and makes good tasting coffee.

BEST DRIP COFFEE MAKER I'VE OWNED (ESPECIALLY TASTE)

I've owned this coffee maker for over 9 months now and it truly makes the best brew I've had from a drip coffee maker. Coffee never tastes burnt - even after reheating twice. I prefer espresso but, due to my work schedule, I can only enjoy that on my... read entire review

  • Pros: GREAT BREW! No glass parts to be broken. Easy Clean-up. Dependable. Sturdy. Great design.
  • Cons: Seeing dispensed amount can be difficult. Fill opening could be larger. Pricey.
  • The Bottom Line: If you want a great cup of drip coffee, buy this unit and good coffee grounds. Will make price reasonable.

Tried a Different Concept and am Satisfied

I went through several Mr. Coffee machines in a sixth month period (they all died) before buying my Starbucks Barista model four years ago. It still worked but a kitchen remodel gave me an excuse to go shopping for a unit with a stainless steel look. I... read entire review

  • Pros: Great tasting HOT coffee, well made machine, three year warranty, reasonable price
  • Cons: Size (maybe), slight condensation issue, could use some lighting of spout and brighter digital readout
  • The Bottom Line: Does what it should - makes good tasting hot coffee. Some slight design flaws but overall is a solid, well built machine with a good warranty and reasonable price.

No Glass pot is a plus!

Since this coffee maker came out, I wanted it. But, without someone to tell me what they thought of it, I was in NO RUSH to purchase a $100 coffee maker. The day came recently that someone who owned this nice coffee maker raved to me about it. First... read entire review

  • Pros: Looks nice, it's quiet and there's no glass pot.
  • Cons: Other machines do the same for cheaper.
  • The Bottom Line: Don't break the bank for this machine. You're paying for 2 things, looks, and no pot on display. Brews a fine cup of coffee in a pretty machine.

Professional looks and a unique design.

I don’t think there is any kitchen appliance in existence that gets updated or replaced more frequently than the coffee maker. Whether it’s because we’ve managed to kill one out of sheer over-use, or (in our case) we see a cool new unit that... read entire review

  • Pros: No Carafe to break. Great styling.
  • Cons: Could use a light.
  • The Bottom Line: So far, we are very happy with the Cusinart DCC-2000. It has a sharp new style, and it makes great tasting, HOT coffee. Highly recommended.

A good coffeemaker with a few quirks!

We have had a Krupps coffee maker for the last 2 years that was becoming increasingly annoying. For one, when filling the water reservoir, it invariably generated air bubbles in the water gauge, always giving erroneous readings. It could indicate 8 cups... read entire review

  • Pros: Quiet. Easy to read water gauge.
  • Cons: No light when dispensing coffee. Washing “tank” in dishwasher difficult.
  • The Bottom Line: It does what it is supposed to do very well. There are just a few things I would change about it to make it perfect!

Suprisingly A Nice Coffeemaker

I was in a conundrum as my Braun, which I loved, was leaking badly after two years. It brewed fast, and the coffee was HOT. I like my hot drinks to be piping, and my cold drinks to have ice crystals in them. There are a lot of coffeemakers out there, and... read entire review

  • Pros: Piping hot coffee, nice modern design, easy to use.
  • Cons: You need lots of space for this unit. Cannot disable the beeper.
  • The Bottom Line: If you have counter space, want fresh piping hot coffee, want a carafe-less on demand unit at a decent mid range price, this could be the unit for you.
