The BrandTech 120V ME 8 NT oil-free diaphragm vacuum pump has a maximum pumping speed of 4.80 cubic feet per minute (cfm) at 60 Hertz (Hz), an ultimate vacuum of 70 millibar (mbar), an elastomer (FPM) double diaphragm with fabric reinforcement, FPM valves, a single-stage pump, four aluminum-silicon alloy (AlSi12) pump heads, and aluminum alloy housing. It provides continuous high flow rates down to the pump’s ultimate vacuum and performs well when pumping non-corrosive and non-aggressive gases in applications that do not require deep vacuum levels. It can be used in vacuum ovens, for general-purpose pumping of large amounts of gases, and for applications that have high inlet and process pressures or require fast evacuation. The BrandTech 120V ME 8 NT oil-free diaphragm pump does not use oil in the flow path, which decreases the risk of contamination from lubricating or sealing oil. The absence of oil also reduces pump maintenance since there is no oil to monitor, change, or dispose of during or after pumping. The FPM double diaphragm with fabric reinforcement has a working life of 10,000 to 15,000 hours, and the FPM valves perform reliably at a range of vacuum pressures. The single-stage pump with four AlSi12 pump heads and aluminum alloy housing provides high flow rates, even down to the pump’s ultimate vacuum. The pump has no sliding parts on the vapor side, which eliminates abrasion in normal operation and prevents contamination from dust and other impurities on the vacuum side of the pump. The New Technology (NT) design offers a quiet, low-vibration drive system; a simplified valve mounting system for quick maintenance; easy-to-clean, smooth surfaces; and a reduced-leakage sealing system. Two G 1/4” British Standard Pipe Parallel (BSPP) silencer valves at the outlet reduce noise at the exhaust side of the pump.
