Hard Time On Planet Earth Complete Series DVD (1989)
Director: Ed ZuckermanStars: Martin Kove, Danny Mann and Timothy BlakeThe main character was an alien Elite Military Officer who served in a huge interplanetary war. After the war ended, he was prosecuted for unnecessary violence and other war crimes; he was found guilty, but in observation to his valuable services in the war, he was given the chance to reform by spending an undetermined amount of time as a vastly underpowered human form (played by actor Martin Kove) down on planet Earth. Along with him was dispatched Control, a small floating robot in the form of a mechanical eye with the mission of overlooking Jesse (the earthly name adopted by the alien warrior) and make sure he'd keep his violent behavior under control and also, to provide comic relief to the series, usually by assessing the events with the catchphrase-y Negative Outcome. Not Good. Each episode is about the adventures of Jesse as he helps different people in need, at first reluctantly to earn Control's approval in order to put an end to his exile, but slowly more willingly as he becomes fond of the goodness he sees in some of Earth's people.

Journey to Planet Earth: The Complete Series (Home Edition)
Note: This edition of Journey to Planet Earth does not include Education or Public Performance Rights. Home/Individual Student use only. ------------------------------------------------ Journey to Planet Earth is a current PBS series that dramatizes new ways of looking at the delicate relationship between people and the world they inhabit. The series is designed to help viewers understand and cope with the complexities of developing an agenda to deal with the most important environmental issues of the 21st century. Through an interdisciplinary approach, these programs reach beyond the physical sciences and draw connections to politics, economics, sociology, and history. Though photographed on different continents and focusing on different sets of problems, audiences come to see why all of these stories are connected, providing a dramatic mosaic of how the Earth works as an interrelated system. To achieve this end, Journey to Planet Earth cuts across the traditional disciplines that are involved in earth science and answers key questions about interactions that take place between the land, the oceans, and the atmosphere. The series contains 12 episodes: * Rivers of Destiny * Urban Explosion * Land of Plenty, Land of Want * On the Brink * Seas of Grass * Hot Zones * Future Conditional * State of the Planet * State of the Planet's Wildlife * State of the Ocean's Animals * State of the Planet's Oceans * Plan B: Mobilizing to Save Civilization
