2007 release. Born in Aachen, Germany, David Garrett was a prodigy violin soloist, who had reached and surpassed many an important milestone before his matriculation at Juliard in New York. The child of an American mother and a German father, David's interest in violin began at the age of four, when his older brother received a violin from his father -- who himself was a antique stringed instrument dealer. A year later, David had already won a competition, and by seven was playing in public as often as possible. Within five more years, David had gone on to play with an orchestra (playing Mozart) and at the age of ten made his concert debut. As his teenage years dawned, David had already released two albums, and appeared on television. This kind of talent was quickly picked up by Deutsche Grammophone, who offered him and signed a contract with him at the age of 14. He graduated Juliard in New York in 2004, after having been a student with Itzhak Perlman. He played with many of the world's orchestras, and in 2007 he played with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, with whom David toured the United States in 2008.

If there’s a sling or an arrow that could be directed against progressive metal – or worse, a prog metal super group - it’s that the work often turns out to sound like a loose-bolted, duct-taped monster resembling the sum of disparate parts. This is not the case with O.S.I. O.S.I. or Office of Strategic Influence released their first, self-titled CD in February of 2003 and to this day it remains one of Inside Out Music’s best selling titles. As with the first release, Free features the incredible musical talents of Jim Matheos (Fates Warning) on guitar, Kevin Moore (ex-Dream Theater, Chroma Key) on vocals and keyboards, and Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater) on drums. Present once again is the now patented O.S.I. sound. However, Free takes on a slightly more mature and evolved style. You’ll still hear plenty of crunch and drive from Matheos and Portnoy, but Moore’s often melancholy vocal styling is somehow a bit more hardened and world-weary. The recording also experiments with new sounds and an even more unique use of the sonic space. Their complex blend of comfort riffs, complex arrangements and experimentation will be ambrosia to the Dream Theater / Fates Warning fan base and will also appeal to fans of bands from Porcupine Tree and Pink Floyd to Radiohead and Wire.

Cd Glee Cast:glee: The Music, The Power Of Madonna Free Us Shipping
Personnel: Jane Lynch, Cory Monteith, Chris Colfer, Jonathan Groff, Dianna Agron, Amber Riley, Kevin McHale, Lea Michele, Jenna Ushkowitz, Jayma Mays, Mark Salling, Naya Rivera (vocals).Audio Mixer: Peer Astrom.Arrangers: Tim Davis ; Adam Anders. After taking a quick break in December 2009, Glee returned to the air four months later with a new character (played by Jonathan Groff, Lea Michele's co-star in Spring Awakening) and a new soundtrack. The Power of Madonna features seven of the Material Girl's tunes, all of them taken from the same episode. It's a short release, but it also holds its ground against the two albums that preceded it, namely because the material is so compatible with the show itself. Madonna's music has always thrived on drama, and it lends itself well to Glee's theater-pop approach, which tends to bring out the cheese in even the most serious of songs. There's nothing serious about "Vogue" and "Like a Virgin," though, and the cast tackles both tunes with a mixture of camp and confidence.

English composer Robert Prizeman has taken a conventional English boy's choir--usually a haven for sweet songs and ecclesiastical renderings--and made them contemporary without selling out any of their intrinsic charm. Their stacked choral voices and lead sopranos, dressed up with electronica rhythms, synthesizers, and strings still sound like they could be coming from the church balcony, even while they exude an Enya-like appeal. While there are adaptations of Gregorian chants and Sibelius hymns, most of the songs are Prizeman originals based on those styles, with texts often drawn from Latin Liturgy. Except for the chilled romanticism of "Stay With Me," and the rhythm driven "Adoramus," whose chorus sounds like a Harry Potter incantation, few of the songs on Free have the anthemic pop appeal of "Salva Me" or "Vespera" from previous albums. Instead, Prizeman has opted for a more serene sound on Free, even with their first video from the disc, the yearning "I Am the Day." Some of it, like Prizeman's setting of a Walter de la Mare poem on "A Song of Enchantment," gets lugubrious. But most of Free floats on gentle soprano breezes, intrinsically innocent, even if the boys might be smoking cigarettes behind the altar. --John Diliberto

MUSIC FROM REGIONS BEYOND, the band's fourth album, contains more of their classic, punk-influenced rock & roll, yet also branches out into country, synth-pop, metal, and balladry. The experiments aren't always successful, but the band's efforts make for a diverse and energetic listen, proving that Tiger Army aren't necessarily married to the formula that gave them their start, and that their sound can encompass any number
