I've long been a devotee of the ingenious Reverso watch made in Switzerland for 80 years by Jaeger-Le Coulture. This elegantly rectangular watch, of course, features the unique pivoting mechanism that permits the wearer to reverse the watch so the dial faces inward, leaving a protective metal caseback facing outward - perfect while polo playing to protect the watch crystal! And while Stührling's Gotham does not pivot, it does echo the heritage rectangular shape and classic dial of the original. And Stührling deploys the well-respected Swiss Ronda #763 quartz movement for impeccably precise time. The angular and handsome case is forged from 316L surgical stainless steel with a gleaming, polished bezel. The dial's hydraulically stamped, twisted-rope pattern recalls great timepieces of the past, with elegantly simple, individually applied Arabic numerals and Alpha-style hands to complete the vintage look. Includes ornately decorated caseback, diamond-hard Krysterna crystal, and 22mm alligator-embossed leather strap. Fully water resistant to 50 meters (165'). 30 x 45mm.
