When Bern introduced the Allston, the company's first bike-specific helmet, it was a huge hit due to its low profile, light weight, and unbeatable ventilation. The Massachuetts-based company has built on that success this year with the Morrison Helmet, its first mountain-bike-specific helmet. It's an updated, tricked-out version of the Allston, complete with removable visor and newly-designed twist-lock adjustment system. The Zipmold shell and wrap-around Sink Fit design are the same as the Allston (the Morrison provides slightly more back-of-the-head coverage), and the Morrison has the same ridiculous ability to keep your head cool, thanks to 16 vents (plus two on the visor). You can even snap in a compatible Bern knit liner and be ready to ride or hit the slopes when the weather's cold.
