The 2002 Sauvignon Blanc showcases the exotic tropical passion fruit, honeydew melon, sweet grapefruit andlime flavors found in the finest examples of this grape variety, along with crisp acidity and a plush finish. The fruit for our Sauvignon Blanc comes from vineyards in Lake County. Located just north of Napa Valley, this region sits at a moderately high altitude, wrapping around Clear Lake, one of the largest natural lakes in California. Although the temperatures can climb during the day, the high elevation keeps nighttime temperatures cool. This climate, combined with the well-drained, volcanic soils, allows grapes to ripen slowly, developing intense fruit flavors alongside well-balanced acids.
