Media in write-once format is capable of producing pre-mastering discs and is ideal for high volume data recording, archiving and playback. Each single-sided DVD-R disc can store up to 4.7GB of high-density data. By using DVD-R, information is permanently recorded (write-once), and cannot be altered or erased. DVD-R also provides a life expectancy of 100 years, and is compatible with most DVD-ROM drives and DVD-Video players.
