The Linksys WRT54GX Wireless-G Router was designed and developed by Cisco Systems of the USA. Its unique SRX technology provides up to eight times faster wireless network speeds, allows for a minimum number of dead spots, and has increased wireless coverage. This Linksys wireless router has three separate functions. It is mainly a Wireless Access Point, which lets you connect Wireless-G, Wireless-B, and other SRX devices to the network. The Linksys WRT54GX is also a four-port full-duplex 10/100 Switch, which enables the user to connect Ethernet devices together. Further, the Router function of this 54 Mbps wireless router puts the above together in a smooth manner, which enables communication and data transfer between a range of devices. Unlike other wireless routers, this Linksys wireless router uses signal reflections to increase the range of the wireless coverage area. This allows the signal to travel farther. This 54 Mbps wireless router has also been designed to avoid interference by dynamically switching to the clearest channel available. The Linksys WRT54GX can encode all wireless transmissions with industrial-strength WPA encryption. It can serve as your network's DHCP Server, has a powerful SPI firewall, and supports VPN pass-through. It provides a WebUI configuration utility for easy configuration.
