Description:
Mario and company return to the pitch for another not-always-so-friendly game of soccer, across a wide assortment of magically hazardous field conditions. Playing off the Mushroom Kingdom-themed competitions found in the GameCube's Mario Strikers, the Wii's Mario Strikers Charged kicks in the ability to control the action through a few practiced flicks of the Wii Remote. Teammates are moved around the pitch with the Nunchuk's analog stick, and shots are made with the Z and C buttons. Each team has a captain, who can perform special, super-powered shots. Bumps and tackles are performed with the motion-sensing remote controller, and players can guide their goalies to attempt to block shots by aiming the remote at the right place on the screen. A variety of special moves and power-ups add another layer of strategy and unpredictability. Mario Strikers Charged supports online play through Wii's Wi-Fi broadband connection.
