With similar RPG gameplay as other releases in the Mega Man series, Star Force: Leo invites gamers to explore a real world and battle in the "Wave World" as a young man named Geo. Players must navigate Geo through the environments in both worlds while collecting new powers and additional battle cards. When gamers encounter an enemy they are instantly transported into the "Wave World," and must do battle on a 3x5 grid. Using the Battle cards in their portfolio, players execute a variety of healing, melee, defensive, and ranged attacks in order to defeat their foe. Gamers may use the "Brother Band" system to duel friends and swap items from players who own the Dragon and Pegasus versions of the game by connecting to a wireless network.
Mega Man Star Force: Leo (Nintendo DS, 2007)
pros: a solid action RPG
cons: battle network fans will have deja vu all over again.
