The PetSafe Transmitter can be used to expand the coverage area of your current Instant Wireless Dog Fence system (PIF-300). It requires the use of a Wireless Fence Receiver Collar (PIF-275-19). The signal field of a single wireless transmitter can cover a circular area of up to 180 feet in diameter . A second wireless transmitter can be placed at a maximum of 150 feet away from the first transmitter to increase the signal's range. This creates two intersecting circular signal fields. The signal is cancelled out at the intersection point, allowing the pet to access the entire containment area. The wireless transmitter is not weather-resistant and should be placed indoors.
