For all the carbon offerings on the road these days, there are still certain categories of frame qualities where aluminum excels. We're thinking of weight (aluminum is absurdly light) and snappy power transfer. GT takes advantage of both of these qualities with the Grade 105 Complete Bike. The Grade 105 uses a carbon fork and GT's Triple Triangle design to further capitalize on aluminum's stiffness while alleviating the harsh ride associated with more traditional aluminum frame shapes. The iconic Triple Triangle design was first introduced 24 years ago and its simple effectiveness continues to this day. The sharper angle of the seatstays lets GT reinforce the stays, so they're more laterally stiff, and it also distributes road noise and bumps through the frame instead of just porting them straight up the seatpost. The improved stiffness means more flexibility, which in turn means better acceleration for cyclists of any level, whether you're sprinting for the finish line or the county line. The triangles are built using double-butted alloy tubing, the top and down tubes of which are hydroformed to engineer better stiffness, weight, and ride quality. The tapered head tube also contributes, keeping the front end stiff and ensuring no power is wasted while you're enjoying the Triple Triangle's snappy acceleration by hammering out of the saddle. The shiniest bits in the bike's kit are definitely the new Shimano 105, which is celebrating the new year by going to 11-speed, and the TRP disc brakes, which many industry insiders are tipping to be the future standard for stopping road bikes. The FSA Omega Exo crankset is also a bright star on the Grade 105, as it's the venerable drivetrain expert's compromise between a standard and a compact crankset. The semi-compact 52/36t gearing means that the Grade can kick it hard when the tempo needs kicking, but it also won't destroy your knees on sustained grades nearing 20 percent. The rest of the components are rounded out wi...

The appealing price of the Shimano Sedona FD Spinning Reel may seem too good to be true, especially with all of the features included in this reel. Among the many features standard in the Sedona FD is the Propulsion Line Management System, which helps significantly reduce line twisting and friction for longer casting and less tangles. The lightweight graphite frame, sideplate and rotor, combined with the cold-forged aluminum spool help keep the weight down. The Fluiddrive II and Dyna-Balance systems make sure the reel maintains its Shimano smoothness and power.Features Shimano Reels Homepage: fish.shimano.comTechnical SpecsThe Sonora FB Features:> Propulsion Line Management System: Propulsion Spool Lip, Power Roller III, S-Arm Cam > Varispeed Oscillation> Redesigned Ball Trip (500 Size Only)> Shielded Stainless Steel Ball Bearings> Lightweight Graphite Frame, Sideplate, and Rotor> Cold Forged Aluminum Spool> S Concept: S-Guard, S-Arm Cam, S-Rotor (500 Size Only)> Ported Handle Shank (Except 500 Size)> Rubber Handle Grips> Maintenance Port (500 Size Only)> Fluidrive II> Dyna-Balance> Super Stopper II> Repairable Clicker> Aproved for use in freshwater or saltwater> Rated for use with Mono, Fluorocarbon and PowerPro LinesMeet the 500FD:> 21 Line Retrieve Per Crank> 2/190, 4/100, 6/60 Line Capacity (# Test/Yards)> 5/135, 8/105, 10/65, 15,60 Power Pro Line Capacity (# Test/Yards)> 4 LB Max Drag> 4 Ball Bearings, 1 Roller Bearing> 4.7:1 Gear Ratio> 6.2 ouncesMeet the 1000FD:> 28 Line Retrieve Per Crank> 2/270, 4/140, 6/110 Line Capacity (# Test/Yards)> 10/95, 15/85, 20/65 Power Pro Line Capacity (# Test/Yards)> 7 LB Max Drag> 4 Ball Bearings, 1 Roller Bearing> 6.2:1 Gear Ratio> 7.7 ouncesMeet the 2500FD:> 32 Line Retrieve Per Crank> 6/200, 8/140, 10/120 Line Capacity (# Test/Yards)> 10/170, 15/145,30/95 Power Pro Line Capacity (# Test/Yards)> 15 LB Max Drag> 4 Ball Bearings, 1 Roller Bearing> 6.2:1 Gear Ratio> 9.5 ouncesMeet the 4000FD:> 33 Line Retrieve Per Crank> 8/240, 10/200, 12/160 Line Capacity (# Test/Yards)> 15/265, 30/175, 50/145 Power Pro Line Capacity (# Test/Yards)> 29 LB Max Drag> 4 Ball Bearings, 1 Roller Bearing> 5.7:1 Gear Ratio> 12.5 ounces p.MsoNormal, li.MsoNormal, div.MsoNormal { margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-size: 12pt; font-family: Times; }div.Section1 { page: Section1; }Extended InformationThis was another surprise from a distributor.
