Chicco KeyFit Infant Car Seat
Consumer Reports magazine, in its October issue, has a roundup of infant car seats. The Chicco KeyFit infant car seat got the highest score because it was the easiest car seat to install and use. (It's gotten great user reviews too.) The KeyFit accommodates babies from 4 to 22 pounds, and has all the necessary safety features, including 5-point padded safety harness and LATCH attachments. But because it's pricey, Consumer Reports picked the more affordable Baby Trend Flex-Loc and Graco SnugRide with EPS (an energy absorbing foam) as "CR Best Buys." Shop for car seats by brand, price, and feature.
