Man on Wire
One of our personal favorites of this year's nominations, Man on Wire won for Best Documentary Feature. The film tells the story of how, in 1974, French performance artist Philippe Petit as he and his friends planned for one of the most daring high wire acts of all time. After hiding from authorities until after hours, Petit eventually strung a wire across the World Trade Center and walked between the Two Towers for nearly an hour while New Yorkers watched on the streets below.
