Moon
When done right, science fiction is one of our favorite movie genres. Moon, directed by Duncan Jones (David Bowie's son), in our humble opinion, was one of 2009's best movies. The story centers around Sam Bell (played by the under-appreciated Sam Rockwell), an employee of Lunar Industries who is sent to the moon to harvest a fusion energy source. He's finishing his third year and the solitude is starting to get to him. This compelling, character-driven story is one worth checking out.
