Wood Shutters

Window treatments can be expensive, but that's no excuse for keeping those sad, pull-up blinds, especially if they're beige and look like they came from the supply house for cheap landlords. If you're décor is evolving, you may not be ready to commit to expensive curtains. Go with wood shutters, and you won't need to replace them when you get new furniture or paint the walls. Although we love the bare wood look, the less expensive faux wood shutters are perfect if you're going to paint the wood anyway, and they're easy to clean.
